The Thompson's Est. 12/20/2003

This is the site of Jennifer and Keith Thompson. Their romance began their Junior Year of high school (1993)and ended up in marriage on December 20, 2003. Throughout their 10 year (OMG! 10 years?!?!?) courtship, they grew apart, and then together, and then apart and then (oh, well you get the drift)…… but in the end, a wonderful romantic friendship turned into a strong partnership that they both believed, would stand the test of time. And then....came Avery Grace :)

14 weeks and counting..........

Can you believe it? I am through my first trimester already? It seems like only yesterday that I found out that I was having a baby, and now I only have 2 more trimesters left. Whoah, how time flies! I just think you all should know that I feel fantastic. Energy came out of no where the past few weeks, and now I am feeling just plain ecstatic that I am going to be a mom! The only nasty side effects that I have been getting lately are quite nasty headaches and some wicked HEARTBURN!!!!! Oh dear, the heartburn……but I have to consider myself lucky. I skated by my first trimester without any morning sickness and I think I might have gained ONE whole pound altogether. Not bad, considering some of the women that I have been chatting with on thenest.com have told me that they have already gained 5-10 lbs!!! I have to consider myself blessed ALL OF THE TIME, because that is just how I feel.

Well…..the most exciting news that I can muster up is that at 14 weeks, I swear that I am starting to feel the baby move around. It usually happens when I am sitting at my desk at work or lying on the couch watching TV. It is usually 4-5 little “pulses” in my lower abdomen. It is very noticeable to me and sometimes I catch myself jumping when I feel it, but I LOVE feeling it. It make me feel like everything is going OK and little Baby Thompson is trying to communicate with me (especially when I eat something that he/she doesn’t like for lunch or dinner). I am just loving being pregnant!!!! I know I kind of look like I have a beer belly vs. actually being pregnant, but even my new beer belly is just reassurance that everything is going as planned.

I feel a little anxious every now and then about certain things (especially about getting my house the way that I want it before the baby is born) but all in all, my life seems right where it should be for now.

More to come……………24 weeks til Baby T’s due date!
