The Thompson's Est. 12/20/2003

This is the site of Jennifer and Keith Thompson. Their romance began their Junior Year of high school (1993)and ended up in marriage on December 20, 2003. Throughout their 10 year (OMG! 10 years?!?!?) courtship, they grew apart, and then together, and then apart and then (oh, well you get the drift)…… but in the end, a wonderful romantic friendship turned into a strong partnership that they both believed, would stand the test of time. And then....came Avery Grace :)

Yo Yo Yo

This is a shout out to Auntie Luce and my BFF, Olivia......"Yo Yo Yo".......

Love,

Avery Grace

Falling asleep at the table......

Avery has been working hard the past few weeks. She's growing and developing.......She's working SO hard, lately she has been finding it difficult to stay awake during breakfast.

It's a hot one......in April?!?!?!?!

I was telling Keith that I feel like I have been inside for 8 months! Avery was born last August, but did not come home until September and then we have been in the house since then, it seems! Last Sunday it reached 80 degrees and we FINALLY spent some time outdoors!!!!! Daddy did some yardwork, mommy and Avery went for a nice neighborhood stroll, the family went downtown Brockport and had dinner by the canal....it was a glorious day! Avery also had her first tast of mommy's ice cream cone. AND she wore and adorable romper set that her godmother bought her for Valentine's day. Thanks Auntie Luce!!! Avery has more rolls on her legs than a baseball stadium :) Ya just want to take a nibble.......

Petunia Pickle Bottom

I think it's actually a name of a designer diaper bag but I lovingly nicknamed Avery this when I tried on her new "French" hat the other day from Children's Place. Actually the hat came from my favorite new place "Goodwill Fashions", that just opened up by my house. This hat had a tag on it that said $7.99. I paid $.99. Gotta love thrift! I know I do lately! I also picked up 2 Gymboree outfits with tags still on them for $2.99 each AND a London Fog rain jacket for $1.99. Adorable either way.....

I'm going to the zoo, how about you?

Avery went on her first trip to the zoo last weekend with mommy, daddy and nonna. The weather was gorgeous and we all took in the sights (and smells!). Avery's favorite part of the day was the areas where she could look underwater at the animals. The otters and the polar bears were the best! It was a really fun day and we can't wait to do it again when the nice weather is here to stay! Nonna bought us a year long pass so we can go anytime we want now for free :) Thanks, Nonna!!!!

Daddy, Can I help you work?

No explanation needed......

4 Generations.....

Although not the best quality pic in the world, the fact that everyone in this pic is present and accounted for, is a blessing. From left to right: Mommy (Jenn), Great- Grandma (Jenny), Granddaughter (Avery) and Nonna (Florence).

My favorite picture

The other night, I was playing with Avery and I helped her try on a new "UV protector" hat that my mom bought her for Easter. Despite the XL tag (it said it should fit 2-3 year olds, but my 7 month old has an enormous melon like her daddy and mommy), the hat fit perfectly. She peeked out from underneath the brim while cuddling her new stuffed chicky and I just thought to myself, "I just am just so in love with this little girl". She seemed to know what I was thinking because she just looked up at me and smiled.......and I snapped this pic. I love you baby girl!

Avery and Olivia.....THEN and NOW

The first pic in this post was taken in November, 2006. Avery (then 3 months) and Olivia (13 months) barely knew each other existed much less interacted with one another. The second photo was taken this past Friday. Avery, Keith and I spent the night at the Rizzo's for a pre-Easter pizza party. It was so fun watching Avery (7 months) and Olivia (17 months) interact with one another. They are truly destined to be the next generation, Lucy and Ethel. At one point and after telling Olivia many times to be gentle with the "baby", Olivia looked right at me, grabbed my arm and said sternly, "Gentle!". She didn't want anyone messing with her friend, Avery. Thanks for looking out, Lu-lu! Just from the look of things on Friday night, I just know we're in for it, Lisa!! Let th hijinks begin :)
